Art is considered an essential part of all cultures throughout the world. However these days fewer and fewer people appreciate art and turn their focus to science, technology and business.

Art has been an inseparable part of every culture throughout the history of mankind. Yet in modern times people refer to art in its many manifestations as luxuries, diversions and entertainment only. They tend to give more importance to science, technology and business and utterly neglect the esthetic appreciation of an artwork. This essay will discuss the causes of this phenomenon and some creative ways to induce people to develop a taste for the arts.

Our personalities are predetermined as a result of our genes before we are born and there is nothing that can be done to alter our character traits.

We inherit genes from our parents and with these genes comes certain personality traits as well. Although the genes influence our personalities , it should also be noted that some environmental factors also play a role in shaping our personality. As not only the nature but also the nurture determines our personality, I completely disagree with this statement that genes are the only deterministic factors for our personalities.

The death penalty is the best way to control and  reduce serious crimes.

Capital punishment is supported by many who believe in its deterrent effect on potentially violent criminals for whom the threat of mere imprisonment is not a sufficient restraint. Although it is equally true that there is no correlation between the rising numbers of death sentences and reduction in violent crimes. I completely disagree with the death sentence as an effective way of punishing criminals as it legitimize the very thing – killing – which the law seeks to repress.

Some people think that you can never be fluent in a language unless you have spent time living and working in that country.

To what extent do you agree?

It is a popular belief that to acquire fluency in a language, a foreign language in particular, a person has to spend time in that country and work among native people. It is a traditional method which is no longer required as there are faster ways of communication and a plethora of social media website where it is far more easier to do conversations  with native people and learn their language. I completely disagree with the statement and this essay will show the reasons behind my opinion.

Cities have been always an attractive as well as a promising destination for people living in villages. This leads to a huge number of village people migrating to the cities. On one hand this makes cities overpopulated, while, on the other hand villages too find themselves deprived of young population which could help boost village economy.
