Welcome to Issue #3 of our Weekly English Newsletter for Young Learners! Now that we know how to talk about everyday actions with positive sentences, it’s time to learn how to say “no” correctly in English using negative sentences.

In this lesson, young students will learn:

  • The ‘Don’t’ vs. ‘Doesn’t’ Rule: When to use “don’t” (I, You, We, They) versus “doesn’t” (He, She, It).

  • The Base Verb Trick: Why the verb loses its “s” or “es” when “doesn’t” is in the sentence (e.g., “He likes apples” becomes “He doesn’t like apples”).

  • Fun Everyday Examples: Clear sentences about likes, dislikes, and daily habits to build confident spoken and written English.

Listen to the embedded Spotify audio explanation below to hear the exact pronunciation and explanations, review the grammar rules, and download your printable A4 PDF worksheet to complete the practice activities!
