The world has become a global village with the advent of technology and faster means of transportation. This means the geographical distance between two places on the earth has been reduced virtually and therefore a new era has begun where interdependence of world cultures and economies has increased. This phenomenon of globalization has both positive and negative outcomes, which will be discussed in this essay.

In the last few decades there have been more and more cases of famous people being hounded by the press. Some people think that famous people in media have no right to privacy.

To what extent do you agree?

Celebrities have no private life of their own as wherever they go they tend be besieged by paparazzi and journalists. Initially they like being in limelight all the time but then, after a few years, they also want to enjoy their privacy without being hackled by the press every time they go out with their families. Some people argue that this is the price famous people must have to pay for their fame, while some consider their right to privacy is as important as any other human being. I completely agree with the latter argument and this essay will show the reasons behind it. 

Planting trees is very important for the environment. Some people say trees should be planted in the vacant areas of cities and towns, while others say housing facilities should be built instead.

To reduce the air pollution levels in cities, a tree plantation drive is an effective solution. For this, some consider the vacant areas of cities the ideal place to plant trees. However, some argue that this vacant spaces should be used to build housing colonies for people to live in. I completely disagree with the latter statement as afforestation is the need of the hour in times of global warming. 

With the development of technology children are now living in a world that is completely different to what it was 50 years ago.

Technology has changed the lifestyle of present generation with modern gadgets and faster means of communication. This is a revolutionary change but it has also affected the way kids perceive the world around them. Just half a century ago children were an active members of family , they would take part in every social activity and always were at the center stage in any family event. These days they spend most part of the day in front of a mobile or computer screen. This essay will discuss how this new change disrupts the cohesion between families and the long term effects of it on society.

Some people think that it should be compulsory for people to retake their driving test every 5 years.
