Sample Answer
Usually I’m not a person who blindly follows someone’s advice or accept a piece of information to be true.
But, at the same time I trust my closest friends, and if they say something, I never doubt their word.
I believe that they all are my well-wishers and why should they betray my trust?
But, something happened that has shaken my belief in people’s unselfishness.
My friend Rudra and I are preparing for our IELTS exam. We are also approaching various immigration consultants to expedite our immigration procedure.
Since we were in 3rd grade, we are together just like two siblings.
We played cricket together and took part in many tournaments too.
We were a fierce combination for our opponents in a cricket match during our school days.
This friend of mine told me that we should not opt for Southern Alberta Institute of Technology when we go to Canada.
According to him, once we pass out from this college, there are fewer chances of getting a good job in Canada.
When I asked him about how he got to know this, he told me that his uncle, who is a Canadian citizen, told him that.
His uncle advised that we must opt for Rose University which is a very prestigious college.
As Rudra was my closet pal, I had no reason to doubt him.
Then it so happened that Rudra had to go to his native place to attend his grandfather’s funeral.
And there was an Education Fair at Grand Hyatt hotel in my city.
When I went there with my father, we met there a consultant who asked us about our choice of colleges.
When we told him about Rose University, he was quite shocked. He told us that this Rose University is quite notorious for scams and corrupt practices.
And no reputed IT companies or Financial Management companies go there to hire employees.
Instead, they all go to Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
He told me to focus on getting admission to this college. He gave me contact details of some Indian students studying there, and they asserted the fact that Rose University is not the right option.
When I came home, I felt betrayed. I trusted Rudra like my own brother, but he had some malicious intents to destroy my career.
But, I thank my lucky stars that I got the correct piece of information from that consultant who, I think, was an angel in disguise.

IELTS SPEAKING TEST
Part 3
Is the information available online is trustworthy?
I would say that this can be answered both ways.
My answer would be in the negative.
There is this situation where the correct piece of information on the internet is just like a needle in tons of haystack.
This internet revolution has given power to common people, so that anyone with a simple device like a smartphone can add some information to the data that already exists online.
There is no competent fact checking system that can filter the wrong data, and thus, the internet becomes rife with wrong information and fake news.
Is there any possibility of checking the online data for its veracity?
As far as I know, governments and tech companies are trying their best to develop a system to counter the menace of fake information on the internet.
But it is a Herculean task for them. Although they have made some progress, a lot is still to be done in this direction.
What is the difference between verbal communication (via phone) or written communication (via email)?
In my opinion, both have some unique features.
Telephonic communication is instant. Unless it is recorded, it doesn’t stay there permanently.
On the other hand, one can send an email in a fraction of a second, it remains unread if the other person doesn’t open her email inbox.
But, emails stay there, and will stay there permanently unless they are deleted.
I have read somewhere that email communication is more relaxed and more expressive than telephonic communication.
