IELTS Speaking Test Intro Question – Watches

Wearing a wrist-watch is not just like wearing a timepiece.

It’s a style statement for me.

Analogue watch complements the formal clothes that I like to wear on special occasions.

Smart watches will come and go, but it won’t replace the magic of an analogue watch.

The wristwatch is no longer a necessity. We can measure time by simply looking at the screen of our mobile phone.

People are nowadays obsessed with functionality of a device. They love mobile phones as they are multi-tasking devices.

But, a wrist watch is an ornamentation for me.

A wristwatch is a silent companion that fills up the air with the sweet susurrations of every passing moment.

I also adore it as an engineering marvel.
