In our previous blog, we talked about Meditation. There are many ways to do that.
One can go to a meditation retreat or hire a personal instructor. Joining a Yoga class and having group meditation sessions is another option. Some imaginative people purchase books and try doing that on their own.
These all methods have their specific benefits. But each has one great disadvantage : People can’t follow a method permanently.
Can you imagine living the rest of your life in a Yoga retreat in Himalayan mountains? Or do you think it will be cheaper to have a meditation instructor at your beck and call for only a month?
Meditation is just like a routine that you need to follow, no matter where you are.
Again, there is another trouble of losing focus.
In our enthusiasm we take up some new activity, and then after a week or two, either we lose interest in it or the motivation and focus to do that.
This happens with Meditation also. People attend meditation seminars for some time. Then they forget about it just after a few days.
People read books, understand the importance of meditation, and do it zealously for, say, a month or two. Then their focus shifts to something else, and they gradually start neglecting meditation until they stop doing it altogether.
For years, people had all these problems that kept them from making meditation a routine activity.
And then came this idea of ‘Guided Meditation’.
In this technique, you are provided with a virtual coach that helps you do different kinds of meditation activities.
This coach resides in your smartphones in the form of an App. When you open the App, you see a list of meditation activities. Each activity has different time durations, e.g. 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes.
Once you select a meditation activity and its duration, a voice clip will play and it will instruct you throughout the selected time period.
At regular intervals you will be instructed to bring your focus back to the present moment.
Initially you do this for a shorter time duration. Then you increase the duration until you reach a point where you can easily meditate for around an hour without losing your focus.
One thing should also be kept in mind : meditation is not like doing workout in a gym. Your goal is never to increase the duration of meditation. Even if you meditate for 10 or 20 minutes, if you stay present in the moment throughout that time, you have already achieved a blissful state when you open your eyes at the end.
As this App is on your smartphone, you can use it whenever and wherever you want.
Your house becomes a meditation retreat, and your phone will be your instructor.
This you get by paying a small amount as the subscription fee for this App.
It is nothing but a small investment that you make for a peaceful and productive life.
So friends! What are you waiting for? Download our App now and start doing meditation.
And don’t forget to tell us about you felt after using our App.
